Carol and I feel so blessed that
our daughter Lily has been in such good hands and seems so
healthy. From the little information we received about her; we
knew she is very outgoing, a deep sleeper, a good eater,
talkative, playful, smart, energetic, and happy.

We had an idea our referral would be coming
soon, but Carol and I thought it was still a few weeks off. We
heard about our referral on 7/8/02. That day Carol passed our
Adoption Agency; at the same time praying the referral was
there. For some reason Carol thought our agency knew something,
so she called that day and was told she would get a call back
later.
I know what you are thinking; Carol must call the agency twice a week.
Not True! The truth is that during our 13 month wait, this was
only her 3rd call looking for news.
Well the Agency called back and told Carol the referral had
arrived. What timing, I had just left for NJ for a week of Java
training. Carol was so excited; she picked up the photo and
drove the 2 1/2 hours to NJ to show her family and have me sign
some papers. By the time I heard about it, Carol had known for
half the day. I got a call around 6 in the evening, and I
couldn't believe it when Carol told me the news. She drove to my
hotel and I saw the 3 beautiful photos for the first time.
Below gives you an idea where we are going to in China. We will
pick her up in her foster home city of Nanchang. Our paperwork
must then be finalized in Canton. Total travel time in China
should be about 2 weeks.
